Hi, I'm Marta
I’m a creative with a background in photography and food styling. I’ve always been drawn to noticing and finding joy in the small, everyday things around me and the seemingly ordinary rituals that make up our days and often pass unnoticed. Sometimes it’s as simple as a moment of stillness in the early morning that I want to capture with my camera, or noticing how the golden yolk of a hard-boiled egg on a breakfast plate comes together as a small composition.
A few years ago, I began a regular art practice, exploring painting and drawing, and that led me to discover another way of paying attention and capturing moments in a more personal way. Now, I can look at that egg a little more closely and sketch or paint it, not perfectly, but with all the little details and quirks that make it mine.
It’s not about creating something for display; it’s about creating something for myself. Sometimes, just like a photo on my phone, a small sketch can hold a feeling that only I recognise.
I believe anyone can begin their own practice of noticing — and the lovely thing about it is that no special skills are needed to try it, just curiosity and a willingness to pause and really look.
You’re welcome to join me whenever you feel like it.
